Intermediary Agreement
Want to avoid compliance risk — with a new or existing freelancer? The intermediary agreement is the solution. Maedium becomes the legal client — the risk disappears entirely on your end.
The intermediary agreement covers two situations. For clients who want to avoid compliance risk from the start with a new freelancer. And for clients where an existing freelancer has been working in the same place for too long. In both cases, the solution is the same: Maedium becomes the legal client.
How does it work?
Maedium signs an agreement with the freelancer and becomes the legal client. The original client signs a separate agreement with Maedium. The collaboration continues as normal — but now through a DBA-compliant intermediary structure.
For the client
The compliance risk disappears entirely on your side. Whether it's a new freelancer or an existing collaboration — you always work with complete peace of mind.
For the freelancer
You keep your independence and your assignment. The structure through Maedium provides certainty — for you and for the client.
When is this the right choice?
Whenever you want to avoid compliance risk entirely. Not sure if this applies to your situation? Get in touch without obligation — we're happy to think along with you.
